This allows users to adjust the harness according to their needs. In conclusion, this harness is a great addition to you or a loved one’s wheelchair.

Installation:

Soft Back Wheelchair:

Use preexisting screws on the back canes on the chair. The back canes are the part of chair that stem up into the handles that are used to push a wheelchair. For the upper straps, use the screws located closest to the top of the chair and for the lower straps, use the screws located towards the bottom of the chair. Therefore, the lower straps should be secured right above the wheelchair user’s pelvis.

Hard Back Wheelchair:

May require drilling into the back of the wheelchair. When deciding where to drill, it is best to have the wheelchair user sitting in the chair with the chest harness in place. From this position you can choose where the straps need to be fixed to the chair. After that remove the wheelchair user before drilling and use the included hardware to attach the harness.

Included Hardware:

Camlocks:

Used primarily when the chest harness is installed on a hard back chair. Adjusts the length or release the straps.

Tri-Slides:

Typically used with the anchor tri-slides to help control strap length.

Wheelchair Chest Harness

Wheelchair Chest Harness

Wheelchair chest harnesses help prevent a wheelchair user from leaning forward or slouching. Staying upright and maintaining posture can be difficult, but a chest harness will help this. Stay secure while maintaining comfort in your wheelchair. Made with soft neoprene covered foam with durable webbing. The webbing can be adjusted from the front of the chair because of the sown in D-rings. Remove the chest harness easily and quickly using the buckles. A buckle is located on each of the 4 points of the harness.

Attach the chest harness to your wheelchair by using the included hardware. Installation will vary based on chair type. Most chairs will have screw holes in the back. Use the Camlocks or Anchor Tri-Slides with the preexisting screws. However, not all chairs will have that option. Designed only as a positioning device and is not to be used as an automotive restraint. In conclusion, this harness provided much needed support and will fit a variety of chairs.
